Cycle of implementation
The implementation process follows a comprehensive cycle, encompassing the aforementioned steps to ensure effective execution of the project’s objectives.
Procurement Process
The procurement process for assets such as goats, small land plots, low-cost housing units, and Community Physical Infrastructure (CPI) schemes is meticulously managed through various Procurement Committees established at the grassroots level. Each committee comprises key stakeholders, including a Senior Social Organizer from NRSP, a member from SPPAP’s District Management Unit (DMU), typically the Assistant Director (Agriculture) or (Livestock), and two representatives from the respective Community Organization (CO), usually the CO President and Manager or two members nominated by the CO along with the concerned beneficiary.
During the procurement of small ruminants (goats), special emphasis is placed on ensuring the presence of beneficiaries in the cattle market, allowing them to select goats according to their preferences. Furthermore, the technical member of the procurement committee ensures the quality, health, and physical condition of the goats selected. Similar procedures are followed for the procurement of Small Land Plots (SLPs), ensuring adherence to the same meticulous standards.
