Given that motorcycles are the primary mode of transport in rural Punjab, this trade offers a highly sustainable livelihood. The training covers the complete anatomy of two-stroke and four-stroke engines. Trainees learn to perform routine servicing, engine overhauls, carburetor tuning, and brake adjustments. By the end of the course, participants are equipped to diagnose mechanical and electrical faults in various motorcycle models, enabling them to open their own workshops.
The Southern Punjab Poverty Alleviation Project (SPPAP) is a transformative initiative aimed at reducing poverty in most economically challenged districts of Southern Punjab. Supported by the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), the project is implemented through a financial agreement between the Government of Pakistan and IFAD.
